We only offer pre-sale, and we only accept a deposit. This is to secure your half beast, and to give us certainty of demand before killing.

The total weight and total cost of the half beast will vary depending on the eventual size of your beast and the resulting cuts of meat but you only pay for the meat delivered. Based on $34 per kg, and a range of 55 to 68kgs for a half beast, we estimate a total price per half beast (including gst) of $1,870 (55kgs) to $2312 (68kgs) excluding shipping. Shipping rates are $14.95 per 10kgs for delivery to the North Island and $39.95 per 10kgs for delivery to the South Island.

If you are concerned that half a beast might be too much for you, the meat you receive is conveniently packed into 400 gram bags, so it can be easily split into two or even three ways and that brings the price down for each of you and the space required in your freezer.

“I’m always keen to try local meat producer ‘s product and the offering from Ruapehu Low Line Angus certainly didn’t disappoint. I have tried the scotch fillet - good portion size as a 2 pack. The meat was well marbled and tender on cooking. The mince was lean with a small amount of fat.  The minced diameter size was also good and was flavoursome and tender on cooking. Schnitzel was great - lean and a good thickness. I have yet to cook the chuck steak but visually it looks great.
